Ethan supports the firm across the full range of work, from pre-charge advice and police station matters through to Crown Court trials. He has experience assisting on complex cases and plays an active role in the preparation and progression of cases at every stage.

His work includes taking client instructions, drafting correspondence, reviewing and analysing case material, preparing briefs and bundles for counsel, and attending clients at court and in custody. He maintains regular contact with clients, counsel, police officers, prison staff and the courts, helping to ensure that cases progress efficiently and that clients are kept informed throughout the process.

Before joining Tank Jowett, Ethan worked as an Administrative Officer with HM Courts & Tribunals Service at the Royal Courts of Justice, where he clerked civil and family matters and supported Deputy District Judges, Recorders and High Court Judges. He previously spent a year as a Student Adviser at the City Community Legal Advice Centre in Islington, advising clients on welfare benefits and housing disrepair matters before going on to train incoming advisers.

Ethan holds an LLB (Hons) from City, University of London and is an accredited Civil and Commercial Mediator with the Society of Mediators. His mediation training complements his legal background, giving him an additional perspective on communication, competing interests and dispute resolution.

He is currently working towards Police Station Representatives Accreditation, developing his practical knowledge of police station procedures, suspect interviews and criminal defence representation.

Ethan brings a methodical approach to his work, combining careful case preparation with a clear understanding of the importance of client care.
