Tank Jowett Solicitors successfully represented two youth defendants facing serious allegations of Grievous Bodily Harm arising from a group attack. The case involved young defendants and allegations that a group attack had resulted in significant injuries to the complainant.
The prosecution case was built around CCTV footage, identification evidence, witness accounts and a detailed police storyboard that sought to attribute specific actions to each of the defendants. The allegations were serious and carried the risk of long-term consequences for all of the young people involved.
From the outset, our solicitors undertook a thorough review of the prosecution evidence. The case required careful consideration of the CCTV material, the quality of the identification evidence, the role allegedly played by each defendant, and the legal principles surrounding joint participation and liability in group violence cases.

The charges against both of our clients were subsequently discontinued.
