Tank Jowett is instructed in connection with one of the most serious organised crime investigations in recent years, involving the large-scale importation of Class A drugs through major UK airports.
The case centres on an alleged international conspiracy valued in the millions of pounds, featuring multiple coordinated importations, insider involvement at airport level, and highly sophisticated concealment methods designed to evade border security. The operation is alleged to have relied on trusted “inside jobs”, corrupt access points, and organised criminal logistics spanning several jurisdictions.
Prosecutors allege that wholesale quantities of cocaine were trafficked through UK airports using covert “rip-in” techniques and purpose-built luggage concealments, demonstrating a level of planning and criminal infrastructure typically associated with high-level organised crime groups.
With alleged drug values running into the multi-millions, the case is both complex and wide-ranging. It involves the instruction of numerous defence expert witnesses, including specialists in money laundering, cryptocurrency and financial analysis, telecommunications evidence, and controlled drugs.
Tank Jowett continues to be instructed in complex, high-value criminal defence cases involving serious allegations, multi-defendant conspiracies, and national and international investigations.
The case is overseen by Partners Baljit Tank and Adnan Hussain together with Solicitor Golnaz Tabaei who have instructed Marcus Rickard and Joshua Ellis of Red Lyon Chambers to represent our client in court.
